Teaching Approach & Style

My teaching philosophy centers on empowering middle and high school students to think independently and develop strong mathematical reasoning skills. I focus on building comprehensive understanding of high school math concepts, from foundational algebra through advanced calculus, helping students develop the mental frameworks needed for mathematical success. I prioritize calm, clear communication that keeps students motivated and engaged with challenging coursework.

Subjects & Expertise

I specialize in the complete high school mathematics sequence, from Algebra I through AP Calculus, Statistics, and advanced topics including Linear Algebra and Differential Equations. I'm experienced with both middle and high school curricula and excel at 1:1 and small group instruction.

With a Bachelor's Degree in Biology and 7 years of specialized experience tutoring high school and college-level mathematics, I understand the academic progression from middle school through college. I've successfully worked with students internationally and have extensive experience preparing students for advanced mathematical studies in engineering and sciences.
